Garry Kelly – Finance Officer/Staff Accountant
Garry arrived in Yellowknife in the fall of 2006 with years of accounting and management experience. Garry is a former BDC Manager and has a great amount of banking knowledge, which is a great asset to our clients. With years of public practice experience, Garry can help with all finance, accounting and tax needs. With years of T1 and T2 tax experience, Garry is the office e-file guru. Some advice: don’t play a hand of poker with Garry as it may not go well. Golf is also a passion for Garry. Who else has a cat named Pro-V?
Lee Sacrey – General Manager/Staff Accountant:
Lee has been in the north for 30 years and traveled to 39 communities in the NWT, Nunavut and Yukon. Lee spent 15 years in the cost/project accounting field and also in management. He is currently the Quickbooks ProAdvisor and is a member of Sage Accountants Network. Like Garry, Lee has years of tax experience, mostly on northern tax returns dealing with northern residence deductions and travel. Lee has used many different computerized accounting systems including some on mini-main frame and Mac computers. Policy and Procedure are areas Lee enjoys, as well as setting up custom accounting systems to meet a client’s needs. Passionate about photography, Lee carries a camera to and from the office and is rarely seen without one. In addition to his work at G L Services, he maintains a photography website and volunteers with Skills Canada and Skills Canada/NWT.
Lynnette Self – Manager of Administration/Accounting Technician:
Lynnette has a number of years of experience with accounting/bookkeeping. Working in several different computer accounting programs, Lynnette can multitask and look after almost every client need. As someone who shows such a great deal of understanding and care, it’s difficult to find someone who will look after your file as well as she does. She holds everything in the office together and manages multiple client files while helping out on almost everything else. Lynnette also has several years of personal tax experience and is involved in most of our personal tax work. Lynnette has grown up in the North (21 years) which gives her a good understanding of northern client needs. Lee is pretty sure that Lynnette is in control of his life.
Nicole Ellsworth - Bookkeeper/Administration:
Nicole Ellsworth joined G L Services in September of 2014. Nicole will assist all other staff with administrative work on all client files and will be doing some the client bookkeeping as well. Nicole has a great work ethic and always wants to do what is most cost effective for the client. Nicole is always working closely with Lynnette and sometimes Lynnette even lets her listen to what Lee and Garry have to say or listen to their requests, lol. A great addition to the G L Services team, if you happen to stop in or call, Nicole will most likely be the first person you speak with and her youthful energy will certainly make you feel welcome.
